Ansco Buster Brown 2A
Ansco Buster Brown 2A
The Ansco “Buster Brown” 2A box camera was made from 1910-1924. Ansco released this camera in direct competition to the most popular cameras on the market at the time, the Kodak Brownie. The Kodak Brownie got it’s name from a popular comic strip character, so Ansco named their own camera after the cartoon character “Buster Brown, created by Richard Felton Outcault in 1902. Talk about being cheeky!
I have lovingly transformed this big old Buster Brown from a useless relic of the past, into an artistic achievement that can not be measured! (actually it can, it’s 6”tall x 4”wide x 7”deep) .
It has been hand-wired with gold fabric braided lamp cord, a vintage styled on/off toggle switch, and topped off with a nifty “fairy light” light bulb. It would look freaking fantastic on your shelf, mantel, or little one’s bedside table. Treat yo self.
